More Cheap Fabulousity (AKA Best Drugstore Ish)

I have told you b's before that I am cheap. I don't really know why, it's just a thing. And while I will shell out the major dough for stuff that I love, it is always the best EVER to find great beauty products on the cheap. I've shared some of my favorites in the past, but in the past few months I have found some new goodies. Yay! Let's do this ish!

I love this b. This is Sonia Kashuk Hidden Agenda Concealer Set, available at Target for $9.99. Let me tell you, this is the business right hurr. This picture doesn't really reflect the true colors of the concealers, they are lighter in actuality. There are three colors for you to create the perfect shade to match your skin, and the bottom right square is a translucent powder to set what you have concealed! What, what? Are you at Target yet? I also just discovered while writing this that this is an Allure 'Best of Beauty' award winner. So you don't just have to trust my ass!

Next up is L'Oreal EverCreme Cleansing Conditioner, which is like a low-rent version of Wen. I have never used Wen, so I can't compare it directly, but I have used Hair One which is another cleansing conditioner. BTW, just exactly WTF is a 'cleansing conditioner'? It takes the place of your shampoo AND conditioner, and it doesn't strip your hair. Anyway, this ish is fierceness in a bottle. When I tried Hair One I:

Needless to say, I had not so high hopes for the L'Oreal cleansing conditioner. But you know what? It was:

Seriously, try it. It's like $7 at wherever you would like to purchase such items. Score.

Keeping with the L'Oreal love fest, I have a new drugstore mascara obsession. I'm so on L'Oreal's jock right now; I hate when I'm a brand w. So annoying! Anyway, I am really into L'Oreal Voluminous mascara. It's reminiscent of Lancome's Hypnose, which no doy (!!!), L'Oreal and Lancome are owned by the same parent company! Yay for cheap and glorious! This is $7 or $8 depending on if you are a Walmart kind of girl ($7) or a CVS chick ($8, but get them Extra Care Bucks honey boo boo!).

I actually have ANOTHER L'Oreal product that I really like, but I'll save it for later. I'm tired of talking about them. You guys are going to think that I'm on payroll or some ish. Please b, I wish.

Do you guys have any drugstore faves? What are your cheap down ass b's?

Good Deals Go Bad (As in Good, Not Bad Bad)

Stila Lip Glazes are some of my favorite lip fancies. I have a bunch of different colors, and I have yet to own one that I didn't like. The normal size, which is .08 oz, retails for $22. Which is pretty pricey for .08 oz of anything, but this ish is pretty, pretty good. So here comes the really good part. Every now and then (usually around the holidays), Stila comes out with a "gift" set (Yeah...Gift for myself! Selfishness = 1, Selflessness = 0!) at Sephora. Right now you can get 8 shades for $25!!! They are a slightly smaller size, .05 oz, but for that price...Gimme, gimme, gimme! You can purchase here if you want to be selfish, yet beautifully lipped. You're welcome, cold hearted snakes! I'm So Fancy Right Now!

Those of you that are friends with me on Facebook might call a few weeks ago I won Jeannie Mai's (the host of Style network's "How Do I Look") Halloween costume contest. I got my prize a few days ago, and here it is; CND's The Look: Fall/Winter 2011 set of nail polishes! These are a really fun set including a Midnight Sapphire and Dark Amethyst polish colors, and Sheer 24K Sparkle finishing coat. I decided to use the deep blue first, and here it is.

Ignore my horrible polish job. This is my thing. I paint all over, and then scrub off my skin. I know, not conventional, but just how I do things. I'm not normal, this I know. So then I added the 24K gold fun stuff.

So cute, right? I'm totally into it. I bet the purple is going to be crazy sexual, too. You can buy the set for $16.95 on Amazon for yourself! Not bad at all for a three piece set! I have to go scrub my polish-ridden hands now... Pin It

Lazy Exfoliation Is My B*tch

So we all know it's important to exfoliate your face, blah, blah, blah. But it's kind of one of those things you kind of forget about. Maybe you're in Walgreens or whatever, and you walk by the St. Ive's Apricot Scrub and you're all, "Damn, I used to LOVE that ish in 8th grade!" As did I, peeps. But put that crap down. I have your adult/lazy girl exfoliator right here.

Kate Somerville's ExfoliKate Gentle is my b. Truthfully, I originally bought the gentle version because it's $20 cheaper. I'm cheap. We all know this mess. But now I'm on Retin-A (more on that another time), and it makes you super-sensitive to the effing world so I'm grateful for my cheap-assness. I used this when I first bought it, like a year ago, and I liked it. It became one of those products that got pushed to the back of my massive product cabinet, and I forgot about it. I was kind of scared that it would be too much for my skin now (Remember? Super-sensitive bull ish?) but it's totally not. AND I know it works. I use a Clarisonic brush daily, and the Retin-A, which exfoliates the sh*t our of your skin. So I used the ExfoliKate with super lowered expectations. I was seriously surprised, you guys! My face was super soft! I'm hooked again. ExfoliKate is back on my A Team.

If you want some of this ish, check it out at Sephora. Or if you are a bad ass, you can get the Intensive Formula.

Eff. One More Thing to Add to My Eyebrow Game.

Ish, guys. I'm so over myself. As if I don't have enough items I use to do my brow every day. I HAD to go out and try something new. And it HAD to be friggin' awesome. I used to believe any ol' eyebrow gel, clear mascara, hairspray on a mascara wand (Hush your mouth. Don't give me that judgey-ass side eye!) would do to keep my artistic drawings on my eyebrow glued on. Until I met my new soulmate.

Anastasia Clear Brow Gel. Do you hear angels singing? I do. The top picture is how it looks in package, and the bottom is the actual tube. I was kind of unsure about this crap because it was like $20, and as I said I kind of felt like everything is the same. Whatevs. But I have heard great things about Anastasia products. She's an eyebrow guru, and I better step off.

But OMG, you guys. This stuff is really great. It holds my ish in place without gloopy, goopy (shoutout Gwyneth Paltrow) crap all over my eyebrows. It dries to a pleasant finish, not hard and crazy like when I use, a-hem, hairspray. And it lasted until my lazy ass finally washed my face at like 1 am. Big ups. Try it.

P.S. Can be purchased at my house, a.k.a Sephora or here.

Cheap Crap I Love: Waterproof (ish) Eyeliner

I love eyeliner. The blacker the better, and that mess better stay on like a boss. I don't want that greasy, smudgy crap. And don't be all, "But I can't wash it ALLLLL the way off at night...." Who gives an eff? What are you in a nightly sleeping beauty pageant? Get on it. And guess what? I have a hands-down favorite that costs less than $5. And comes in blackest black. So, yeah, it's pretty much my bitch. Ready for the big reveal?

Tricky Beauty: Waterline Eyeliner

You are probably thinking, so just W in TF is a waterline? It's that little, moist (bleh) strip of skin on your inner bottom eyelid. You following? If you have ever attempted to apply eyeliner to this area, you know it is a major bitch. It won't stay for crap...Or will it? I have an eyeliner that I cannot live without, that I use solely to line my watermark. Let's share!

This Will Save Your Ass. No, Seriously.

I was searching today for one of my absolute, hands-down, must have items, and I thought I would share it with the rest of the class.

This is Hollywood Fashion Tape's Hip Hugger. I LOVE THIS B. It's like a little baby suspender that clips onto your belt loops on your pants or jeans. It's elastic, and it keeps you from getting that gap in your jeans up above your butt crack. (See, saving your ass...Ahhhh!) And you don't have to wear a belt underneath your shirt, making it all bulky and cray cray looking.  And it's adjustable, and it's awesome. I'm about to buy three, because I have worn mine out with my big ol' ass. If you want to jump on the no-gap-butt train, you can buy them here. Pin It

Summer Fashion for Lazies

Listen, it's hot as a mo fo. And I'm not in the mood to try that hard. So what's a lazy/high maintenance chick to do? Two words. Maxi dresses. They have been around for a few years now, and are still easy and fashionable. I have found a nice selection around the interwebs, so lets take a gander.

You Need This: An Absolute Makeup Staple

I literally cannot live without this. If you have eyelids, and you wear makeup on them, you freaking need this.

Urban Decay Primer Potion is my down ass b. I look like complete ish without this. I'm am, I do believe, the oiliest person on the face of the planet. Nothing can shut down those oil rigs. (More on that another day.) But even if you aren't oilier than the pet duck from the football field on Saved By the Bell (Please tell me someone remembers this???), you need this. It makes eyeshadow stay ALL DAY. And I mean all day. Not some half-assed day. It also makes colors more vibrant. Seriously, go buy this. If you don't like it, you can punch me in the face. Thoughts? And don't tell me about some lid primer you like better, because I ain't hearing it!

EDIT: Do yourself a favor and get the version that's in a tube. Don't get the hard, genie bottle-shaped tube. You can't get even half the product out of that one, and you will literally have to butcher knife that b open to get the rest out. It's not cute. Stick with the tube, so we can all be lazy together. Let's Talk About Weave...

As I mentioned a few days ago, I am a Sally Beauty Supply w. And there is one an only reason for that. I am completely addicted to clip-in hair weave. These are the extensions I get, and I dye them to match my hair. So let's get real first and see the actual blah-ness of my actual hair.

I will say two things about these pictures. 1. I took these this morning, and I hadn't even brushed my hair. So it looks slightly more gross than normal. (Give me a break, it's freaking Sunday.) 2. I was not aware of the tragedy that is the apparent double chin that I have. I will give that immediate attention; trust. So c'mon after the jump to see the magical extension tour.

Do you have like ten bucks? Then you need this.

I'm weird. I'm cheap, but if I feel like a product works I will spend $323984093 on it. But don't worry, this stuff is super low-end. It's from Sally Beauty Supply (I know, it's like my Mecca...More on that possibly tomorrow.), and if you have hairs on your head you need this.

Judge Judy is my favorite human.

If you don't watch J.J., you are so dumb. I CANNOT get enough of Judge Judy. She is the sunlight of my life. I know that the average age of her viewing audience is 72 (I made that up, don't google that ish. Nerd.), but this crap is ridiculously entertaining. I know you are probably too busy watching "The Hills" (Shoutout to 2007!) or some mess, but you are missing gems of people like these.
See? You life is already 10-12% better. But the best thing about J.J. is her sassy pants attitude.
You can't tell me you aren't in love. That sensible frosted and banged bob, the same shade of lipstick everyday...Adorable! If you aren't out buying an "Um is not an answer" t-shirt right now, I don't know you anymore. Pin It

EYEBROWS! Jazz hands!

I am completely obsessed with eyebrows. Like ol' dude from Brokeback Mountain, I cannot quit them. En. Thralled. If you don't give a rat's keister (???) about eyebrows, skip this ish. Those of you that are still reading, let us embark on a brow tutorial!

You need this in your life (closet).

I have stumpy legs. Truth. If there was a Stumpfest 2011, my legs would be the headlining act. And knowing this, I have to go out of my way to try to elooooongate these pegs. I might get my bones stretched if it wasn't such a pain in the ass, so until that becomes a little easier, I have the next best thing. NUDE. HEELS. I always have to have a pair of nude, peep-toe heels in my closet. Not convinced? Okay...
